Pilipinas Kay Ganda, talk of the town
0The new Department of Tourism branding has been our for less than a week have been the talk of the town. Criticisms have been thrown at the them (Department of Tourism) left and right.
Department of Tourism was accused lifting Poland’s own tourism campaign, Polska.
Checking official tourism site of Poland, it has a resemblance of the Philippine version. From the font used, to the idea of a “L” tree and the free flowing body of water.
If I were to place my opinion on this, it is such a good idea however, technically we copied the idea from Poland. They went first, what will the countries as such tell us. Filipinos are talented yet we don’t fairly use it. We even top the arts competitions, and others but we don’t use/practice it. Why don’t they extend their plan to the public, sell out the idea, organize an event wherein the whole Filipino community can build up a much better and more presentable branding for our country. I believe Filipinos can do better than other nation. Even less fortunate have witty heads and can shell out ideas. Let’s use them, give them something in return.
Pilipinas, Kay Ganda
A man from a foreign land reads “Kay Ganda” what does it mean? Will it mean something? If you were to come up with an advertisement/branding come up with something everyone can understand. Given it is catchy for some, for us Filipinos it is yet we are the only State that knows what it means. WOW Philippines is better than the latest.
Update:
There is a Facebook fan page that aspire to change the current branding. Click here!
2011 Starbucks Limited Edition Planner
0Yey! I have successfully had my first sticker for this year’s Starbucks planner.
Every coffee junkies out including Starbucks aficionados is waiting for this 2-3 months year end promotion of Starbucks wherein junkies come to Starbucks, cup their favorite core beverage and collect 17 stickers all in to covet a copy of this Limited edition Starbucks Planner. This year, we have three colors to choose from namely: Brown, Silver, and Red. Promotions starts yesterday November 3, 2010 until January 5, 2011. Currently, I badly need to work on 16 more stickers to get my first 2011 planner.
Every year Starbucks offers different sets of Holiday Featured Beverages and this year they’ve settled giving out junkies Praline Mocha, Toffee Nut Latte, and Peppermint Mocha. Unfortunately, my holiday beverage isn’t included in the list. I vie for Dark Cherry Mocha, but anyways. What are we waiting for junkies? Come over to Starbucks and do some cupping
